Do it simply because it matters.
Before you walk through the door, remind yourself to act as if you’re glad to see them, happy to deliver the service, more charismatic than you feel, and optimistic even if you’re not sure.
Expending this emotional energy is well worth it because acting as if can create the very outcome you’re hoping for.
